Soap opera fans are mourning Robert Kelker-Kelly, the actor who became widely known as Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives. Kelker-Kelly died at 62 in Missouri on October 3, 2026, after emergency responders were called to his home, according to reports. He was born April 18, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas, and his path to television was anything but predictable. Before finding acting, he dropped out of college and struggled financially in Los Angeles, at one point working as a secretary while sleeping in his Jeep or on friends’ couches. His break came in 1987 when he landed Another World, and five years later he took over the role of Bo Brady from Peter Reckell. The demanding soap schedule eventually became exhausting, but Kelker-Kelly continued building a career that included General Hospital, theater, television appearances and even work as a charter pilot and flight instructor.
